i ran 10 miles yesterday.
i woke up two hours early to go run 10 miles so that i could do it before i had to go to gramma’s house.
i am a bamf. :)
my achilles is sore though. i’m looking up treatments and preventions and stuff, but if any of you have any advice, i’d be glad to hear it!
lol over the past month, my mileage each week has been increasing by 6.
0 -> 6 -> 12 -> 18.
this week: 24?...
3.12 miles in 33:48 or something like that.
which means that from sunday-saturday, i have run 15-ish miles (and run nearly ALL of those miles) and run on three seperate occasions!
i want to do at least 10 miles tomorrow and brendan is going to run with me next saturday, or so he says. he’s really fast under 3 miles but has issues with pacing. maybe he’ll make me faster and i can pace him!

it was sore last night and brendan was trying to fix it but it just really really hurt and he said that there was like something on my scapula that shouldn’t have been there. which is COOL.
and then he told me i should go to the chiropractor, which i need to do to get a massage anyway.
also, got my shirt/tag/bib for the pittsburgh race for the cure!

i am SUPER happy with this!
my heart rate was pretty consistent (averaged 178, max 186), and my mile splits were pretty consistent, too! 11:30, 11:46, 12:11, 12:15, 12:02.
i wanted to average 12:00-ish, so i was right on track!
this was strangely faster than my last run (6.79 in ~1:26), which was on flat surface at the track/high school, and it was mostly easier, too. which is really strange...

my last time was 16:16, so i figured going for about 15:00 was pretty reasonable.
my time? 13:03!
near the end, i was like I CAN DO THIS IN LESS THAN 13 GOOOOOO! it didn’t happen but i’m still happy with it. :) my quads are going to hate me enough tomorrow, anyway. when i finished, i just laid on my bedroom floor dripping sweat for like 5 minutes.
next time? under 13:00. maybe even...

at least i’m doing a half next month so i’ll have that distance under my belt. then i’ll just focus on swimming and biking and improving my half speed.
also, the training plans are all 20 weeks long which has them starting two weeks before my half. and as i’ll be tapering at that point (not...
so, i finally got to run today! :)
3.11 miles in 29:30. so it’s not my best, but i think it’s 16 seconds off my pr, and this is after two weeks of no running and a pulled hamstring/sore back/abs/ass region.
then i did weights (3 sets of 10 for each)
leg extension: 65.
chest press: 70.
leg curl: 90.
diverging lat pull down: 80.
leg press: 130.
shoulder press: 45.
bicep curls: 45.
tricep push down: 80.

ohai.
so, tonight is the last night of the show, which means my running/exercise will start to get better again.
i know i’ve been really absent and i’m sorry about that, but i promise i’ll start posting more shortly.
in the meantime, i’m about to go do 6 week 6 pack or some other ab workout, since i have to wear a leotard again tonight.
